Secondlife: GG's stable again, as is SL in general, had no problems at
all today connecting, resolving, or teleporting.

Secondlife is so far so good right now, I managed to log in twice
without an issue and everything around me resolved in about 30 seconds.
I downloaded the update (build 54/55?) around 20:30.

Teleported to GG
Crashed after walking in
Crashed on precache
Login succesful, crashed after 3 seconds
Cleared cache
Login succesful, crashed after I started moving.
(starting to think it's GG causing these problems)

Before I forget: SHUTDOWN -h NOW; SHUTDOWN -r NOW

Setting up Lynx's bookmark system and text editor. Not too hard right
now, just Ctrl+e+e. This is so Doogie Howser. *sigh*.

Trying to get Mutt set up to read my gmail, if I could figure out where
the config file is to get it set up for SSL. I'll work on it further
tomorrow.

Secondlife: getting too many crashes on Login. After the login screen
gets through "Precaching" I die and get a crash notification. Clearing
the cache worked when I reinstalled the client. It also seems to be
having trouble contacting the user server. I clear the cache and try and
connect, when I see my avatar begin to animate it closes and gives me a
crash notification.

Getting irssi-text to be my bitch:
Make sure to set /IRCNET to have furnet, and /SERVER to have the
connection info to it. Setting up timestamps is a bitch, format= /FORMAT
timestamp {timestamp %%H:%%M.%%S} (include the space after the
command!). /CHANNEL for autojoining all the channels. Connect to the
server, get the windows the way you want them everytime you connect and
/LAYOUT SAVE then /SAVE and everything's all set.

Getting the hardware clock set up properly is a lot easier. Run MAN
CLOCK to find out how and be sure to be logged in as root. Syntax: HWCLOCK --SET --DATE="10/25/05
21:30:00"
